I love to layer voices, when doing Imaging to create surprises, cool effects on the Voice Over or just to work out a specific part of an Imaging piece a bit more. The plugIns i use the most for layering are :

1.
SansAMP (i reduce volume with the plugIn on the layered track already, saves me time in hyperdrwaing or cllipgaing)

2.
Digidesign Basic EQ.7 (low pass, high pass, mid boost – be creative have fun with it…)
and
3.
Cosmonaut Voice (in combo with a thin eq – lovely)

WHAT PlugIns do you use for layering? What are your favourites? let me know and have a nice weekend!

This interview is a special one, which I was really looking forward to, because I know less about the spanish speaking imaging community, it’s stars and I also never worked  in a spanish speaking market myself. So a brand new experience for me and the blog team.

Thanks to Raul Segura for making it happen and connecting us with one of the leading spanish speaking imaging talents: Leandro Adrogué. (This interview will also be available in spanish on Raul’s Spanish radio imaging blog.) This is the first radio imaging interview, posted on two blogs in two different languages.

Let’s dive right into it and meet Leandro, who started radio back in 1992 in Argentina and now works for Catalonian radio network Grup Flaix from his studio in Barcelona. Check out Leandro’s innovative imaging style, some pics from his studio and more. (more…)

Now  he’s doing imaging for the SiriusXM radio network.

Please post your personal blog experience below as a comment or send me an email to blog@benztown.com. Can’t wait to hear your connects and stories!

Like you know, I do the Benztown CHR library by myself and as a truly CHR Imaging guy, I am looking consequently to extend my beatmix techniques and standardize new ideas for a period of time to develop the brand of the stations I work for. What I really like these days is a kind of switching songs within one beatmixed song. “Check the word “beat”

Not a dramatic change to the song, but fun and easy to do, when you

1. have the opportunity to go through the songs you want to beatmix and…

2. work in the grid or any tempo synced mode. You can also sync the key, not just the tempo.

I am looking forward listening to your stuff to post it right here…just shoot me an email (blog@benztown.com)
